A Master’s Paper with Centuries of Legacy

Step into the shoes of legendary artists with Magnani 1404 Annigoni Drawing Paper—an exquisite surface born from over 600 years of papermaking excellence. Handmade in Italy, this paper has been trusted by historical icons including Napoleon Bonaparte, Picasso, and Morandi. It was specially developed in collaboration with famed portrait artist Pietro Annigoni, known for his iconic portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and John F. Kennedy.

Crafted to Annigoni’s exact specifications, this paper combines elegance and durability in every sheet. Its unique warm beige tone and subtle dark fibers give it an earthy, vintage look. The surface is soft with a natural tooth, making it perfect for charcoal, graphite, pastel, and light ink washes. You can even treat it with rabbit skin glue for oil painting—just as Annigoni himself once did.
