Da Vinci Pro Resist-Grip Gesso Panels for Archival Layering and Frameless Display

Da Vinci Pro Resist-Grip Gesso Panels are expertly crafted to support permanent works of art across a range of media. Featuring a coarse, white acrylic polymer gesso surface infused with quartz sand, these panels offer superior texture and grip—ideal for heavy-bodied acrylics, encaustics, pastels, and even colored pencils. The toothy surface allows for confident layering, from delicate glazes to thick impasto, with no risk of peeling or flaking.

Built on a warp-resistant, sealed MDF panel and cradled in kiln-dried New Zealand pine, these panels come in both ¾" and 2" depths for bold, gallery-style presentation. The surface also accommodates soft pastels and colored pencils, eliminating the need for glass when sealed properly with archival spray. With the ability to accept paint, stain, or clearcoat on the cradle edges, these panels are as visually striking as they are structurally sound.

    Key Features:
    • Coarse-textured white gesso surface with quartz sand
    • Available in ¾" and 2" deep cradles
    • Warp-resistant sealed MDF panel
    • Kiln-dried New Zealand pine cradle
    • Surface accepts archival sprays, fixatives, and varnishes
    • Cradles can be painted, stained, or sealed
    Perfect For:
