Da Vinci Pro Round and Oval Birch Painting Panels provide a smooth, rigid surface for creating artwork beyond traditional rectangular formats. The fine-grained Birch surface is carefully sanded for consistent performance, making it especially suitable for brittle media such as egg tempera as well as fluid acrylic techniques.

Each panel is supported by a 3/4" deep medium-density fiberboard cradle designed to resist warping and reduce flexing or bowing. The result is a sturdy yet lightweight painting surface suitable for studio work, exhibitions, and finished pieces.

The smooth wood surface can be prepared with universal acrylic primer, encaustic gesso, PVA, or traditional glue-based barrier coatings without additional sanding. Artists can also mount linen, canvas, or a variety of art papers directly to the panel. For frameless display, an appropriate archival fixative or varnish can be applied to help protect finished artwork.
